  1. Hi, Just got this one and am looking for a better attribution to catalogue it. Would it be a quadrans or sextans? What else can be said about it. 15mm 1.6g Thanks
  2. Searching for Mangamma coins I found these on a facebook group. "Madurai Nayaka Queen Mangamma coins ( 1689 - 1706CE) Obv- Matsya Avatar, Purusha Mruga & Kinnara Rev- ‘Sri Mangamma’ in Telugu" Two of them also have the legend inside a square frame...
  3. @quant.geek, @Rosa Potatos thank you very much. /Indeed the legend seems impossible to figure out. So,I was thinking about the obverse figure, more precisely the style used to drawn it, as a way to narrow down. Female, seated, legs crossed, etc... What about Pudukkottai or Vijayanagar? Thanks, Júlio
  4. Hi, I just posted a topic asking for help to id a coin, at the wrong place as I didn't see that, at the vary bottom, is the forum for that. So, could be helpful for newbies as myself if that forum were at the top of the list. thanks Júlio
  5. Hi, It's been a while now that I've been trying to Id this one with no results. Obverse: female figure seated facing front Reverse: Partial legend, not a clue about script. The legend seem to be inside a square frame. 2g, 14 mm Thank you for any input. Júlio
  6. Hi, Thank you very much. Indeed I'vve posted at a few foruns, with little results. cheers Júlio
  7. Brazil, 2 cruzeiros, 1944, KM#559
  8. Don't know if that's the case but, here in Brazil, it's not unusual for our copper plated coins to have the steel core oxidised, and present those kind of "bubbles"
  9. Hi, Whish I have found this forum earlier,, it took me a while to id my first Pandyan coin. Here it is. I believe it's 1 Kasu, Ceylon type (two crossed fishes) with the inscription "Kachi Valangum Perumal" Cheers. Júlio
