Victorinus antoninianus struck 269 AD, early coin where the bust has features reminiscent of his predecessor Marius

A MIng Dynasty coin.

Theses coins are usually found in stacks, and due to the raised rim there are cavities. Here they  were large enough for the patina to form beautiful cristal shapes.

I'm working on making 6x4" cards for most coins in my collection and will post the card for this favorite coin that makes several "plate" appearances.  I sent a batch to a printer so I can see which paper and finish looks best.  Looking forward to receiving the test batch later this week.  It will be a fun new way to enjoy my collection, since I haven't been successful in adding anything new in a long time!
