Heliodromus Posted March 27, 2023 · Member Share Posted March 27, 2023 Hah, well, I just won coin below in today's N&N London auction, for the princely sum of £6, and shipping is going to cost £35 ! I've got to think this combination of a dirt cheap coin and super-expensive shipping (1:6 ratio) has to be hard to beat! Anyone? I'm actually quite happy with the total cost, even thought the cost:shipping ratio is horrendous ! I bought it for the odd "SKM" Cyzicus mintmark which I've written about before: 12 2
Harry G Posted March 27, 2023 · Member Share Posted March 27, 2023 (edited) Interesting coin! Never seen that mintmark before. I always forget how much postage is from them - not sure how they can charge £35 postage for what should cost £15 - £20. Lots of lots went very cheaply from them today (pages of £2 - £4 sales), but I entered the auction late and only managed to win a small group of silver. Picked up this Licinius I last week for the extravagant price of 2 Euros 40 cents, and could be his twin brother

Severus Alexander Posted March 28, 2023 · Supporter Share Posted March 28, 2023 They'll ship for less (uninsured) if you ask! I bought this coin because of your earlier post on these. Thanks!
Heliodromus Posted April 10, 2023 · Member Author Share Posted April 10, 2023 (edited) At least the exorbitant shipping gets you a nice little drawstring baggy (made out of some odd micro-corduroy type fabric). N&N London shipping out of Brussels for some reason. Edited April 10, 2023 by Heliodromus
