Obverse: female figure seated facing front Reverse: Partial legend, not a clue about script. The legend seem to be inside a square frame. 2g, 14 mm Thank you for any input. I would suspect it is a Nayaka coin, but which region, that is questionable. So,I was thinking about the obverse figure, more precisely the style used to drawn it, as a way to narrow down. Female, seated, legs crossed, etc... What about Pudukkottai or Vijayanagar? Searching for Mangamma coins I found these on a facebook group. "Madurai Nayaka Queen Mangamma coins ( 1689 - 1706CE) Obv- Matsya Avatar, Purusha Mruga & Kinnara Rev- ‘Sri Mangamma’ in Telugu" Two of them also have the legend inside a square frame... 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
