Michael Stolt Posted June 29 · Member Share Posted June 29 Just bid home this rare colonial coin with Lucilla minted at Cremna in Pisidia. The type is very difficult to obtain in decent condition, so very happy with this one. This will be my second colonial coin of Lucilla, as I already have a type minted at Caesarea Maritima (sharing it further below). -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lucilla. Æ (18mm 3.96 g) Cremna, Pisidia ca. AD 163-169. LVCIL AGVC(sic) (Α with curved crossbar); draped bust of Lucilla, right / GENO(sic) COL CRE; Genius standing, left, wearing kalathos, holding patera and cornucopia. RPC IV.3 7793 (temporary). -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lucilla. Æ (22mm 8.96 g) Caesarea Maritima, Samaria. LVCILLIA(sic) AVGVST[A?] (all As shaped as Λ); draped bust of Lucilla, right / COL PRIM FL AVG CAESAREA (all As shaped as Λ); male figure (emperor or Genius?) standing, left, wearing toga, holding patera over thymiaterium and cornucopia. RPC IV.3 2476/2 (this coin). --------------------------------------------------------------------------
