MrZun Posted July 24 · Member Share Posted July 24 (edited) Looks good, and beautiful. But the Weight is 18.29g, lower than what we usually see in sestertius of this period. Should i be worried? The size is 31 mm Edited July 24 by MrZun

Should i be worried? The size is 31 mm Are you sure that isn't a typo? The style and fabric look okay to me (smoothed on the reverse it looks like) but yeah 18 grams is very underweight for this time period, especially since quality control and weight standards were pretty good during this time.
shanxi Posted July 24 · Supporter Share Posted July 24 (edited) The weight seems to be in the normal range. OCRE shows several examples with 18something gram and the most extreme with 14something gram. https://numismatics.org/ocre/id/ric.2.tr.549_sestertius Edited July 24 by shanxi
