Its meant to be a silver hemidrachm, but I have no idea if that's correct. Any advice on what it is and if its legit would be great. Cheers. Unfortunately Cherronesos coins are one of the most counterfeited coins on the market and the fakes are so good they have fooled even the most experienced ancient numismatist. Yeah the one I have I cant tell if its has heavy patina but something just seems off, I don't know if its worth trying to clean it or not. I got it dirt cheap so even if it is fake, at least it means I now have a reference to help ID fakes in the future to help avoid them.
