Isn't Asterix very well known in the US? It's French, and when I was young it was one of the most popular French cultural imports to the UK from a very short list 🤣

In the Italian version, Obelix's catchphrase is "Sono pazzi questi romani" - these Romans are crazy, with the initials SPQR.

The only time I ever saw it was a random airing on public access, during the 1990's.  I've never seen it aired elsewhere.

I've never seen it on TV; I was thinking of the old fashioned comic book version! I have 38 Asterix cbzs saved to my e-library plus some extras. It's not all coin books...
