Galba, authentic or not?

Hello everyone,

i have this Galba from a shop, that I‘m interested in. But the pictures left me unsure. What do you say? The scratch wouldn‘t bother me, I‘m in for nice portraits. But the tinting seems to be fake, as the scratch is only partly affected (or the tinting came before the scratch, which would be even more concerning).

I got a nice price here, but I want to hear more opinions please.

 

I can leave with a fake tint, but not with a fake coin. These are new pics he made, more pics I won‘t get, as the coins are at the bank, because they are renovating the shop.

This is another point. I already bought from him and the pics are all a bit „soapy“. But here I‘m more unsure.

Nothing about this screams fake to me. Look it up in Forvm's fake coin reports, though.

Yes, the reverse looks soapy, but the obverse looks good. I also think that it’s probably genuine.

It really is questionable. I wouldn't risk it. As Deniro reminds us...

I have the same type, bought many years ago from I think Dennis Kroh or Harlan Burke.  It's got a little less wear but the devices are sharper.    Yours does look a little suspicious.
